I can think of several reasons why you would want to find out more information about a person just by looking at their social media presence. One obvious is as a marketer to find out more about a prospect or another marketer.

And you can of course do it the hard way by checking through the most popular channels to see what you can come up with. Or…

Finding all their social media profiles the easy way

You can use this clever little plugin from Connect6 that does the whole thing for you. It gives you some really useful information like:

  • Profile photo
  • Social accounts like Twitter, Facebook & LinkedIn
  • Video
  • Location
  • Contact information

All presented in a very clever way where you can get so much information in just one page.

So how does it work?

First of all, you need to go to Google Web Store and download the free plugin

Once that is done and you have activated it, it is really easy to use. Once you hover over a name in Twitter, you should see a small ”6” next to the name while the plugin is preparing the information for you. Then a popup appears at the right hand side of your screen. You will see the person’s social media channels and some more information as in this image.

  • Twitter
  • Google+
  • Buffer
  • Pinterest
  • LinkedIn

Once you click the person’s picture, you will be taken to a full page summary with all available information. Pretty neat!

The whole thing works fine in Facebook too:

Same thing with LinkedIn. And another cool feature with LinkedIn, is that you can have the relationship tree displayed too. It takes a while for it to show up though.

I think this is a great tool to use if you are looking for more information or just the contact details of a person. There are other features in the plugin, but most of them relates to a paid service, so I just showed you what you can do for free. Let me know if you think it is something you found useful.
Thanks to Aaron Lee for showing me this tool
